BevNET Review: Enzo is an energy drink that's trying to differentiate itself with a sour citrus flavor, a 16 ounce can with great value & punch, an energy blend that doesn't crash, and a lower sugar profile than competing products. While those are all noble reasons to create an energy drink, we see things a bit differently. What Enzo really offers is an enjoyable sour-citrus flavor and clean package design. On the flavor front, they've basically taken your classic citrus flavor (think Mountain Dew) and given it a much more pronounced sour flavor. Unfortunately, the use of corn syrup leaves a coating in your mouth, so a switch to sugar would deliver the clean flavor that was promised. The energy components are good, but they haven't added anything that can't be found elsewhere. Package design is clean, with a black backdrop and a modern/minimalist style logo in the center of the front panel. Overall, Enzo's flavor and appearance are enjoyable, but the drink needs to do more if it wants to be memorable in the competitive and crowded energy drink category. Reviewed on: 10/15/2008
