BevNET Review: Essn's entry into the energy category blends a variety of flavors, including green tea, yerba mate, pomegranate, and limeflower. The carbonated blend has a rich tea flavor, which pairs nicely with the flavors of green tea and yerba mate. The second part of the flavor is its fruity finish, which has noticeable lime and berry flavors. It doesn't taste like pomegranate, but overall we think they've truly nailed the flavor. Plus, the product formulation, which uses naturally derived caffeine for its source of energy, has punch. Packaging looks very similar to Essn's other products, with the main difference being the use of a 12 oz. slim can. Otherwise, we wonder if the emphasis should be on the word "energy" as opposed to "organic" as that's really why consumers are going to consider this product.

The taste took a little getting used to at first. It is very subtle and refreshing. I was used to a sweeter energy drink. ESSN Energy has an enjoyable taste that is unusual and distinctive. I am most impressed with the fact that I can achieve sustained energy for hours without jitters and without a huge crash. I highly recommend this drink. I wish it was more widely available. I can't find it, but if you do, buy it by the case!!

Refreshing Organic Energy with pomegranate & limeflower!

I tried this on the Fancy Food show in New York where they launched this. The taste is excellent and distinctively different from other energy drinks: Natural (organic), not like I'm drinking chemicals and syrup. The drink gave me a lift but not something that made me bounce of the wall and come crashing down. Overall, it gets my vote!

Taste is fantastic, but coming from essn that is a given. The energy portion of the drink is great. I get a long-sustained boost from it.
