BevNET Review: This is as well-executed a fruit-punch flavor as we’ve tried, possibly even outside the realm of energy drinks. It’s just nicely balanced, with plenty of up-front “red punch” taste and limited bitterness at the end. The big question for this product, despite its taste advantage, is whether its largely Hispanic constituency will buy into the name “Everlast” as a beverage producer rather than a sporting goods manufacturer. We think that it has a good shot at carrying over -- but only time will tell. The fact that all the label writing is in Spanish is to its advantage; the extra lettering isn’t. But it’s definitely worth a try for those who want an energy drink that doesn’t taste too much like an energy drink.
