Using a blend of the three ingredients in the name, the flavor of Cucumber Pineapple Ginger is very straightforward and refreshing. In terms of the ratios, the pineapple is the dominant flavor (since it’s the sweetest fruit), followed by the cucumber. The ginger, which would make for a very spicy product if it were used in any higher volume, gives just a hint of spice to the drink’s finish. As it is currently formulated, the beverage has a nice balance of sweet and spicy, with the cucumber providing a light herbal flavor in the middle that adds to the refreshment value. The use of high pressure processing, rather than pasteurization (heat), makes for a very fresh-tasting product. All in all, it’s a very well executed mix. Visually, the current Evolution Fresh branding has moved away from fruit images, instead relying on abstract circles of color and simple illustrated text. This approach fits with their “we believe in following nature’s lead” mantra and makes for something that has a consistent polished look across the brand. Overall, this is a top notch bottled juice.
