It is okay, but I like American Orange Fanta. Orange Fanta Dutch tastes like a soda which most of you have probably never heard of: the soda Jupi, from Slovenia. Mexican Orange Fanta can be good, but there is a strange aftertaste.
European Fanta is the best. I tasted the Romanian version and it tastes like real orange juice (slightly tart) with carbonated water. I loved the berry and lemon Fantas over there too. I was excited when they decided to start producing it in the US, but then I tasted it here and it doesn't compare. The orange is a bit better than slice and the pineapple is allright, but they have too much sugar. I wish they stopped making soda such a mockary (way too sugary) here in the US.
i'm a big fan of european fanta, mostly because of the orange fanta and fanta exotic. the european mix of orange fanta isnt as sweet, and it's not all artificially flavored, there are actually oranges in the orange soda.
as far as states-side fanta goes, it's the same as all the other orange sodas around. when you're in the usa, there's no reason to drink anything but grocery brand soda.
BEST SODA I HAVE EVER TASTED!!! i went to europe this summer and all i drank for 2 straight weeks was fanta, and i believe that it is the most joyus thing in the world. i was hooked and now i cant find anywhere to order it, if there is anyone that knows where i can order some of this soda from jesus pleace e-mail me at mitchv99@hotmail.com and i will be your best friend forever
I have had several Fantas, but i think the "real" stuff is the one my friend brought back from Italy. its taste brings to mind orange juice and sparkling water. i love this stuff.

Depends on where you buy it
I haven't had Fanta Orange in Europe, but here in the States it tastes grainy if you don't drink it fast enough. Why would you want to buy something that you can't even savor for 3 seconds without it starting to taste like ass?
I actually got a hold of this at the World of Coca-Cola's International fountain. Its pretty good stuff, it has a natural, refreshing, orange taste. I agree with Bevnet, Coke should make more products like this in the U.S.A!
I've been living off of German orange Fanta for the last month, and I dig it. I haven't tried it in another country, but am perfectly satisfied with this flavor. For those of you in the US: your Fanta is way different. It's just another run-of-the-mill orange soda. Come to Europe and tap the real stuff.
Just wanted to inform you all that Fanta Orange isn't the same product all over Europe, so don't get fooled if it tastes different in each country you might visit over here. The Swedish Fanta Orange is as far as I think the best one, it's got a full orange colour, a pleasant sweetness and no mis-taste. If you go to Germany and order a Fanta Orange, expect it to be a lot more pale in it's colour, taste more sour and have a not that fun mis-taste. And for all of you fanta-freaks out there - the Swedish flavours are at the moment Orange, Lime, Exotic, Wild Berries and Elderberry/Citrus!!!!!! - Fanta Lemon just got off market unfortunately after 20 years over here :-(((
