Peach + Purple Carrot

As a kids' drink, First Juice does a really nice job of balancing nutrients, flavor, and packaging. This variety uses 44 percent juice in an organic certified mix to create something that a very light flavor that has been influenced with pear, apple, peach and carrot. It has only 50 calories and 12 g of sugar per bottle, but it's certainly strong enough for the target demographic and the parents that buy it for them. Looking at the bottle, which carries a spill proof top, it's a bit hard to determine the reason for the purple carrots (note to readers: it's for anthocyanins, which contain antioxidants). On the other hand, it's going to be add some intrigue or an additional bit of "premium" to the product. Overall, a nice flavor addition to the lineup -- and good use of an "heirloom" vegetable.
