BevNET Review: While we know that a product that uses as much fresh juice as Fizzy Lizzy is bound to have some variation from batch to batch, the pinker color of the juice in the “new” grapefruit formulation that Fizzy Lizzy sent us was striking; we don’t know if it’s a sourcing difference or simply an age point, but the new stuff looked much brighter. In terms of taste, the old stuff seemed to have a more consistent, milder flavor, while the new formulation has a bit more sweetness up front and, as a result, a more sharply pronounced bitter bite at the end. Otherwise, the appearance and flavor aren’t so much of a change that they’re going to win or lose more than a few people at the margins. Either you like Fizzy Lizzy or you don’t; we still do.
