Despite being called “infused sparkling water,” this product is definitely more like a soda than anything else. It pairs sparkling mineral water, sugar and lemon flavoring into a formulation that doesn’t taste much different -- aside from having less sweetness and no coloring -- than a lemon lime CSD. Depending on how you look at it, that could be either good or bad for this product. On the one hand, having 62 calories per 11.2 oz. bottle is definitely a very big positive, especially considering how much flavor this product has. However, we can also see some consumers expecting a lighter-bodied product and being disappointed with what’s inside the bottle. From our perspective, it’s honestly a tough call to guess how it will work out in the marketplace. As for the packaging, that definitely seems like the strongest part of the product. The slim glass bottle has an attractive and chic appearance, although the text is definitely very hard to read in certain places. Still, it definitely looks the part of a premium product and the design does indeed whet the palate. Overall, a nice addition to the lineup, but we wish that it were a little lighter in body.
