BevNET Review: When we first saw the new and improved Fuel Cell packaging, we were pleased to see that things were headed in the right direction. The package is clean and simple, with an attractive front panel that will definitely catch the eye. What's inside the bottle has a potent flavor, with a caffeine laced body that finishes with a touch of citrus. It's sweetened with sucralose, which is noticeable in the drink's finish. There's also a note of something that seems to resemble tea extract (which is contained in the product). The end result is a medicinal flavor that would be more enjoyable if the tropical fruit flavor were more pronounced than it currently is. From an energy point of view, the product delivers 225mg and vitamins, although the amounts are lower than what we typically see in today's energy shots. That being said, this product will probably sell okay based on packaging alone, but we think it is going to need more in terms of flavor or additives to stand out beyond that.Reviewed on: 11/25/2008

BevNET Review: The Wildberry variety of Fuel Cell has a flavor that's on par with the Tropical Fruit variety. Being a zero calorie formulation, the product uses sucralose as its sweetener, which makes all of the flavors clash a bit. In this case, your palate briefly tastes the fruit flavor, followed by a harsh caffeine note, and then a final note of sweetener. The drink leaves behind a pretty stiff aftertaste as well. As an energy drink, this product has 225mg of caffeine, which will certainly deliver a hit of energy, but the product's harsh flavor might be a deterrent. Packaging is the drink's strong point, with a clean front panel which immediately draws the eye to the word "FUEL." Unfortunately, they've made the word "cell" a distant second, which begs the question of why not just call it "Fuel" and lose "cell"? Overall, we like the revised look, but the flavor is still a bit harsh for our liking.Reviewed on: 11/25/2008
