BevNET Review: The Wildberry variety of Fuel Cell has a flavor that's on par with the Tropical Fruit variety. Being a zero calorie formulation, the product uses sucralose as its sweetener, which makes all of the flavors clash a bit. In this case, your palate briefly tastes the fruit flavor, followed by a harsh caffeine note, and then a final note of sweetener. The drink leaves behind a pretty stiff aftertaste as well. As an energy drink, this product has 225mg of caffeine, which will certainly deliver a hit of energy, but the product's harsh flavor might be a deterrent. Packaging is the drink's strong point, with a clean front panel which immediately draws the eye to the word "FUEL." Unfortunately, they've made the word "cell" a distant second, which begs the question of why not just call it "Fuel" and lose "cell"? Overall, we like the revised look, but the flavor is still a bit harsh for our liking.
