The Mojito Grapefruit flavor of Give Energy was our favorite flavor of the brand and one of the more innovative tasting flavors that we’ve had in an energy drink. The flavor is light and crisp, with a touch of citrus and mint flavors, a modest amount of sweetness, and a light grapefruit note to the finish. There isn’t really much in the way of “functional” flavor, which is certainly a plus, and the product is a very addictive one as you start to drink it. Functionally, the product is very clean, with natural caffeine and only a few herbal ingredients making up their energy mix. It still has a decent kick to it, although we didn’t find ourselves feeling over-caffeinated or having a crash after consuming the whole can. From a packaging standpoint, the product has a very clean looking design that’s decorated with illustrations of a wind turbine, clouds, and lightning bolts. It’s a very squeaky clean image compared to most drinks that are out there, which should make it stand out from the many aggressive looking energy drinks that are on the store shelves today. They’re also giving 10 cents per can to various sustainable energy initiatives, but you’ll have to look to the back of the can to read about that. Having a plug for this on the front of the can would certainly help increase awareness, although it might hurt the credibility of the product. Either way, we’re big fans of this drink.
