BevNET Review: With “Perform,” Glaceau is attempting the delicate straddle between enhanced water and isotonic sports drink; it does it pretty darn well. Adding extra b-vitamins and electrolytes to a clean-tasting lemon-lime drink doesn’t hurt the flavor too much – there’s a tiny bit of saltiness at the end that indicates the electrolytes are there, but none of the soapy texture of normal isotonics. It’s pretty easy to imagine this attractive product becoming the recovery drink of choice at Yoga and Pilates studios across the country; whether it grabs the Sunday softball crowd is another question entirely.
