Gold Peak Iced Tea: Lemon Flavored

Lemon Flavored

Product Type: Tea: Sweetened; Container: 16.9 fl oz glass (500 ml)
BevNET Review: Lemon flavored tea is usually the easiest way to gauge one brand of tea vs. another -- and Gold Peak is no exception. The package has a Western US, straight from the Rockies feeling to it, but, much like the set of a Western movie, the bottle is a façade attempting to cover up for the inferior product within. Specifically, the product uses "the finest tea leaves and pure water", but also uses many ingredients that are staples of Coke's products, including high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, and phosphoric acid. There's simply nothing "fine" about this product. It has a syrupy body that is only made worse by the inferior taste of the black tea. This product truly makes little sense to us, especially when they've created nothing that will help win over drinkers of AriZona or Snapple (the two dominant players in the category).

The best old-fashion brewed tea currently produced in a bottle. I need a case sent to my grocery store each week. Help is this possible!

TeA

This tea is the best sweet tea I have tried. Nestea sux, Arizona doesn't really tasted like a deep brewed tea, but something entirely different. I think Coke has the right idea with this one.

Gold Peak is amazing tea! I prefer the sweet, then the lemon after that. I have yet to taste a better sweet tea.

I love this Gold Peak Tea. I drink the unsweetened.....and I crave it sometimes. I think that they got it right with this one.

Worst glass bottle tea I've tried
1 stars1 stars1 stars1 stars1 stars

This tea sucks! I only tried it once and was expecting it to be good coming in a glass bottle, and it is no better than Nestea. In fact, some Nestea flavors are better like the Nestea White Peach I tried in Spain. Nestea and Lipton Ice Tea in Spain and France uses real sugar (azucar or sucre) while this tea uses HF corn syrup. And the tea flavor is very weak! Snapple, Arizona, Sobe, Tazo, Honest, Ito En and even Lipton make better ice teas. I'll stick to Snapple Peach Tea, Honest Mango Green Tea or other premium ice teas. This product is going to flop. I never see anybody buy it, it comes in boring flavors that everyone else makes bettter, and not many stores carry it. Good thing Coke has Honest Tea to back up the premium tea segment when Gold Peak fails.
