In the first rendition of the product, Greater Than's Tropical variety had a taste that was very close to a traditional sports drink line's fruit punch flavor. It was, at least from what we remember, a darker colored and fuller-bodied product. This time around, the company lightened things up -- and the product is more enjoyable as a result. What Greater Than has created tastes like something that’s more in line with a coconut water-based sports drink. It’s mellow and smooth, with a light coconut water flavor and just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy the palate. Even better, the company has done a really great job of hiding the stevia flavor while keeping the calorie count at exactly the same level. On the visual end of things, Greater Than has given the product a big boost, starting with a more appealing shaped bottle and a better-looking label. Gone is the stock long neck bottle, with a more chic 16 oz. contour bottle in its place. It has a very “active” feeling to it, which is at least partially the result of it fitting so nicely in your hand. We also like the taller white label, which looks more polished than the company's previous effort (which used a black backdrop). Having more real estate to work with doesn’t hurt, nor does the visually slimming look of the contoured bottle. All in all, we really like what Greater Than has done with this product -- it definitely feels like a step forward for the brand.
