We're not exactly sure how to categorize this product -- herbal soda, energy drink, functional beverage -- but whatever it is, this is a refreshing carbonated beverage that really packs a punch. Using a proprietary blend of Chinese herbs, Green Dragon is one of the few beverages of which we can truly say "it works.” After drinking it, we felt a mild buzz that definitely provided us with a small amount of distance from our hectic day. The sweet flavor has a noticeable herbal flavor to it, but the notes of ginger and honey help round it out and leave your mouth feeling soothed and cleansed. Carbonation also adds to the bite, which gives the product a sophisticated, slow-sipping feeling. The packaging is on par with a micro-brew beer, which is especially true when you consider the hue of the liquid inside. This may or may not be good for the brand, but either way, it definitely speaks super-premium. Overall, this is probably the type of product that will appeal mostly to health/natural consumers.
