BevNET Review: We loved this root beer right from the moment we saw the long neck amber bottle that it is packaged in. It has an old-fashioned and high quality look to it....we knew it would be good. Hank's Premium Philadelphia Root Beer is not as heavy as are many other root beers. Instead, it has a taste that is nice and smooth and easy to drink. (Don't think that this beverage is low on taste, though.) You can really tell that a lot of time and effort was put into this beverage. An amazing beverage! The BevNET! Review Staff devoured multiple bottles of this beverage in a matter of minutes.

Best Root Beer on the Market

This Root Beer has been a favorite of mine forever but it's even better now that's its made with cane sugar! Nice job Hank's. Keep up the good work!

One of the best I've tried

I like this one a lot, it has a nice smooth flavor, no HFCS, a hint of wintergreen to it also. The wintergreen gives it a bit more bite to the taste, while also giving it a bit more delicate flavor.

good brew

Very smooth brew. Would buy again. Would give five stars if used cane suger, but still very tasty.

Good, but not unique.

I agree, this is smooth, so much so that it's close creme soda. It's good, but just doesn't offer anything I can't get from A&W, IBC, Hires, etc. I'd like a stronger sassafras flavor than this. Cane sugar is better than HFCS.

has a smooth flavor that is rich but still lite too. very enjoyable old fashion flavor and packaging. easily one of the best root beers i've tried.

Awesome

This was an excellent root beer, right up there with Harpoon's Vermont Draft if you're in the Boston area and need some root beer. This stuff has a great bite that surprised me like no other root beer I've tried.

Great Root Beer

I found this rootbeer at my local grocery store and I love it. Hank's Root Beer has a smooth texture and a good carmel taste. I noticed a slight "pepto-bismol" flavor to it after the bottle is about a third gone, but it is not enough to make it undesirable. Great root beer; go try some.
