Hansen's Natural Sparkling Waters

BevNET Review: Given pomegranate's popularity in the past couple of years, this was the first flavor that we tried. The clear carbonated liquid ("sparkling water") has a sweet fruit flavor, which gets a passing grade as far as blueberry pomegranate flavors go. There's 90 calories to this stuff, which puts it below the typical calories per liquid ounce of a CSD. Packaging is a clean modern looking 10.5 oz slim can, which is definitely the most attractive work product in the Hansen "Natural" line to date. We like the taste of the product and really like the look -- but will consumers perceive it as being similar to a CSD? It's hard to say, but this effort is the most creative and enjoyable one that we've seen to date.

BevNET Review: Cranberry Grapefruit is our second favorite flavor of the brand. It features the most accurate fruit flavor of the lineup, with natural and distinguishable notes of cranberry and grapefruit flavors. Pair that with the clean sweetness of cane sugar, and you've got a winner. The graphics on the can are attractive and modern, but we'd like to see the color of the "cranberry grapefruit" font turned up a bit -- it's just too pale. Otherwise, a superb beverage.

BevNET Review: The Dragonfruit variety of Hansen Natural has a very nice aroma and flavor that's almost floral in nature. It's pretty accurate as far as dragonfruit flavors go, which is always a plus. The taste is very pleasant and refreshing from its floral start to its clean finish (thanks to cane sugar) and we think that this is probably the best flavor of the brand. The can design sticks with the theme of the others, using a plain white backdrop with modern style type and graphics. A job well done by Hansen Natural -- our favorite of the line.

BevNET Review: Using premium fruit flavors sweetened with cane sugar, this product is trying to deliver a lightly sweetened flavor that features the refreshing flavor of real fruit. So how'd they do? Well, we're not sure that the product tastes like Valencia oranges, but it's certainly better than your typical orange flavored carbonated beverage. The product drinks with a clean and crisp flavor -- and just enough flavor to quench your thirst but not overwhelm your palate. On the outside, they've done a nice job of keeping the product simple yet elegant. It's an attractive package that stands out among competing products. Overall, it's definitely worth a try.
