BevNET Review: Unlike your typical orange creamsicle soda (the only place that this flavor is otherwise found in beverages), the orange creamsicle flavor is not overbearing or even the primary flavor. Instead, this 100% juice drink has a base of apple juice and coconut water, which have been flavored with natural orange cream flavor and enhanced with vitamin C. The result is something that tastes more like flavored apple juice than anything else -- and that’s a good thing as far as the target drinker is concerned. This product visually looks like the rest of the line up, with a large Clifford graphic on top of a tropical theme and an orange accent color that goes with the orange flavor. It’s a pretty busy looking design, but keeping in mind that this product is sold in a multipack, this is less of an issue for this product. BevNET Review: Using a 100% juice blend of apple juice and coconut water that has been flavored with natural orange, mango, pineapple, peach, and banana (either essences or flavors), the Pineapple variety of Junior Juice Coconut Water Twist is rather enjoyable. It’s sweet, but not too sweet, with calories (70) and sugars (17g) within the norm for juice boxes. And this being a kid’s drink, the coconut water flavor has been fully masked -- we don’t think kids will be able to tell the difference between this and any other juice box. Packaging uses Clifford as a key point of branding. This is something that has worked well for the Junior Juice brand and we suspect that this will continue with this line. Overall, it has the taste and packaging to go over well with kids and, assuming the price point isn’t too high, we think it will go over with parents as well.Reviewed on: 10/27/2011

BevNET Review: Of the flavors of Junior Juice Coconut Water Twist that we sampled, Tropical Punch is one of the flavors that tastes most similar to a traditional juice box. It has a base of 100% juice that comes from apple juice and coconut water, with the apple juice clearly being the stronger of the two. There’s no coconut water flavor to the product, but its presence still sets it apart with increased electrolyte content compared to a standard juice box. Otherwise, this product has a standard fruit punch flavor that should be enjoyable to kids. So in that sense, this is one of those product’s that allows parents to sneak extra nutrition into their kids’ diets without them putting up a fight.
