Following up on a USDA Organic coconut water that was briefly launched last fall, Harmless Harvest’s newest effort, 100% Raw Coconut Water, is unlike any other packaged coconut water that we’ve had to date. While there are subtle differences between every coconut water brand out there, this product has a noticeably fresher and greener flavor. In fact, Harmless Harvest 100% Raw Coconut Water is the closest thing we’ve had to coconut water that’s fresh from a coconut. To achieve this, Harmless Harvest uses a “never heated” process that uses thousands of pounds of pressure to protect the product from bacteria. However, the resulting product is perishable, requiring refrigeration at all times. Unfortunately, this limits accessibility to the product, especially since competing brands have increasingly prominent displays at retail. Still, it’s a product that’s very much worth seeking out – and we’re sure that they will be able to find a loyal niche of consumers with the high quality flavor that this drink has. On the packaging front, the 8 oz. bottle is extremely small to the point where it can be consumed in a matter of seconds. We’re still big fans of their branding and design, which, with its earthy illustrated artwork, feels like the perfect complement to what’s inside the bottle. Overall, the small package size leaves us hoping that they’ll come out with other formats, but we wouldn’t change a thing with the look and flavor of this stellar product.
