Lemonade and Tea

Harney & Sons has added the classic "half & half" mixture of tea and lemonade to its lineup. Unlike their previous efforts, which seem skewed more towards the unsweetened end of the spectrum, this entry is features 29g of sugar and 160 calories per 8 oz serving. The result is something that's sweet and full of citrus flavor, with only a mild note of tea to the finish. It's on par with other half & half entries, such as Sweet Leaf, with the major point of differentiation being the product's package design. It's attractive and certainly emits a super premium vibe, but placing the USDA Organic logo on the back (unlike most of the competition) might result in this product being passed over. Otherwise, we think the front panel is a bit cluttered, with visually competing text elements. Lastly, we think that they need to do something to differentiate the juice flavors from their tea products. Overall, a very enjoyable and high quality formulation (and it certainly could sell well on that alone), but something seems to be missing on the outside.
