This flavor of Health-Ade Kombucha blends wheatgrass, spirulina, and camu camu with the company's base kombucha. While we’ve only had a few other kombuchas that used greens in their mix, this seems like the far and away winner. The wheatgrass, which comes from powder, adds a bit of grit to the product, which is a nice change of pace from the normal consistency of other kombuchas. In addition, the slightly grassy flavor of the wheatgrass (and perhaps the green tea) makes for a more pronounced tea flavor than you’ll find in some of their other varieties. Honestly, the flavor and the grit give it an almost matcha like flavor. It’s an interesting direction and one that we’d love to see explored more. For now, this is, at least for us, the most enjoyable of the three Super-Tea flavors. In terms of design, the product follows in the footsteps of their standard packaging with a slightly evolved label. In this case, the product has a greenish backdrop that has a pattern cutting through it. The design feels slightly less “hipster” than Health-Ade's regular label while the color makes it clear that this is something slightly different than its regular product. Compared with the other two Super-Teas, this one seems a bit more intuitive in its name. And we really do like the idea of a kombucha brand trying to capitalize on the trend of greens-based food and beverage products. Overall, a very nice addition to the lineup and our own favorite of the three.
