BevNET Review: Perhaps the most notable thing about Helix is that the product requires no stirring – at least if you pour the water on top of the powder. Eliminating one of the steps of making powdered products seems like a big advantage, especially for people who might be consuming this on the go. Still, the actual mixture that this product makes is quite enjoyable, with a sweet orange flavor (sweetened with ace-k and sucralose) that’s very pleasing to the palate. The functional ingredients are pretty typical of standard energy drinks, including caffeine, taurine, ginseng, and B vitamins, to name a few. As for packaging and branding, the Helix name sounds like your stereotypical energy drink name, especially with their visual emphasis on the letter X. Otherwise, the white background and simple color palette are simple and easy to read, but lacks in the personality department. Overall, an enjoyable energy stick pack product, but Helix could do more to stand out. Reviewed on: 7/5/2011
