BevNET Review: This iced tea's label creates something of an identity crisis: is it a black tea, or is it yerba mate? Either way, it's a nicely sweetened brew with clean hits of both black tea and yerba mate, along with sweet cane sugar. But Herbal Mist's label lists both tea and yerba mate twice on the front, and that second ingredient needs to be referred to more specifically with regard to its usage, especially wit hall of the competition out there for the growing category. BevNET Review: Given the delicacy of green tea, we expected a slightly more measured approach to this product, but they hit us full-on with a blast of sugar, evaporating any chance we had to try to enjoy the tea and yerba mate blend. We also still wonder whether we were drinking an iced tea or a mate drink -- we think the label should be clearer.Reviewed on: 8/7/2007

BevNET Review: Even with the lemon infusion in the taste profile, this product is just too sweet. Which is a shame, because we admire the balance of tea and mate flavor in the drink, and we know they lie just beneath the surface. Still, if you want yerba mate with training wheels (i.e. very little yerba mate taste, or tea taste at all, for that matter) this isn't bad. Also, the label needs to be clearer.Reviewed on: 8/7/2007

BevNET Review: There's great raspberry flavor in this drink, and the sweetness of the cane sugar mixes with the tea to make for a very drinkable beverage. Of particular note is the lack of the citric acid bite that so many raspberry products have -- this stuff tastes very natural. There's still the problem with the schizophrenic label, however -- it would be better for Herbal Mist to relabel around the bottom line, "Raspberry Tea with an infusion of Yerba Mate" than the top two lines, which make drinkers believe it's a beverage primarily brewed from that plant. BevNET Review: A very refreshing change from the overly-sweet versions of the other Herbal Mist flavors, this white tea/yerba mate mix somehow manages to tone down the mate taste enough to let the drinker experience the flavor of white tea -- no mean trick. With a clean flavor and only a tiny bit of yerba mate grassiness, this is our favorite of the bunch. We'd still suggest fixing the label to better explain the product, though.Reviewed on: 8/7/2007
