BevNET Review: Made with cranberry and apple juices (5 percent juice), the CranApple variety of HiBall Sparkling Energy Juice is a good one. The fruit flavor is just right, with a nice balance between sweet and tart flavors. It’'s lightly sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice, but only to the tune of 16g of sugar (and 70 calories) per bottle. The addition of carbonation gives it a crisp finish and also helps to mask the underlying functional ingredients, which include natural caffeine (80mg), guarana, ginseng, taurine, and B vitamins. While it looks and drinks very much like a carbonated soft drink (and a good one at that), the product definitely gets the job done when it comes to being an energy drink. Sure, it'’s not as extreme as what’'s generally hitting the market nowadays, but we like the balance that the product has. In addition, the cleanly designed 10 oz. glass bottle feels hip and sophisticated, with an innocuous-looking brand that is a nice change of pace from your typical energy drink. Overall, we’re definite fans of this product.
