BevNET Review: Of the flavors, this was the only HiBall flavor to use added juice (Concord grape) that doesn'’t match the flavor name. From a taste point of view, it’'s actually quite good, with a mellow grape flavor giving way to some added berry flavor. It’'s not as fruity as some of the other varieties, but it is more in line with a traditional energy drink flavor, so it will probably have appeal with consumers who are new to the concept of a sparkling energy juice. In addition, we really like the crispness of the product as well as its mild level of sweetness. Plus, the fact that it has only 70 calories and 16g of sugar should make it appealing to the calorie conscious consumer. From an appearance point of view, this is the best-looking of the four flavors thanks to the darker color of the liquid giving it a bit more pop. The HiBall logo looks nice on the squat 10 oz. glass bottle, while they’ have somehow managed to get all of the key selling points on the label without it feeling too cluttered or distracting. Overall, we think that this is the most marketable flavor of the lineup.
