Blackberry
Category: Water: Enhanced; Packaging: 16 fl oz
BevNET Review:
Blackberry is our favorite of the four new flavors. There's a mellow blackberry flavor to this drink, which, like all flavors of Hint, is unsweetened. It's a very enjoyable mix, with just enough of the blackberry flavor to satisfy your palate. And, unlike some of the other new flavors, this one finishes clean as the blackberry flavor fades out nicely. The same can be said about the design of the label, which relies on a blackberry graphic as the lone visual element.

Hibiscus Vanilla
Category: Water: Enhanced; Packaging: 16 fl oz
BevNET Review:
There's a decent amount of pleasant floral aroma and flavor to Hint's Hibiscus Vanilla, followed by a mellow vanilla flavor that hits your tongue towards the end. This zero calorie product delivers as well as a product can without sweetener, and the our only criticism is that it is apparent that the drink uses flavoring as opposed to herbal ingredients or real vanilla. Packaging is fairly attractive, although, like the flavor itself, we'd like to see a little more of the vanilla. Still, the drink has enough in the way of flavor and appearance to warrant its place in the Hint lineup.

Honeydew Hibiscus
Category: Water: Enhanced; Packaging: 16 fl oz
BevNET Review:
Of the two hibiscus flavored drinks that have been added, we preferred this one. There's a light melon flavor to the drink, followed by a floral note of the hibiscus that rounds out the finish. It's definitely an adult flavor, offering a taste that's more herbal than fruity. With melon slices and a flower on the front panel, label design is attractive, but doesn't whet the appetite the same way that other exclusively fruit flavors do.

Watermelon
Category: Water: Enhanced; Packaging: 16 fl oz
BevNET Review:
The Watermelon flavor of Hint works quite well, which can certainly be attributed to the light level of sweetness that watermelon has in its natural form. Inside this product, however, there's only raw watermelon flavor and no sugar, leaving the drink with a very light mouth feel. We like it and they've done a good job formulating this -- but there's something slightly off with the finish. Packaging definitely helped whet the appetite and we're sure that anyone who has ever enjoyed a slice of watermelon on a warm summer day will feel the same. Overall, an appealing flavor that's enjoyable despite the minor tweaking that's needed on the drink's finish.

Mango Grapefruit
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
This is one of the nicest Hint's we've tried, as the mango lends a sweetness to the water that definitely alleviates "water fatigue" without becoming overwhelming or countering its thirst-quenching ability. That said, there's really no grapefruit taste and if you're looking for anything beyond a "hint" of mango you'd best look elsewhere. Hint's packaging continues to impress, with a little quiz about mangoes on its clear plastic label. All in all, an impressive package, inside and out.

Strawberry Kiwi
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
Although this might not be sweet enough to attract the youngsters that are implied by this product's designation as part of the "Hint Kids" line, there's definitely a nice taste of both strawberry and mango in this beverage. We're not overly impressed by the fruit imagery on the label -- the kiwi slices look like cucumbers and the ink was a bit washed-out -- but it still has the smart design that makes Hint stand out.

Tropical Punch
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
Tropical Punch is the newest entry to the Hint lineup. The aroma and flavor are fruity and tropical, but it doesn't really taste like what we would have expected. The lack of sugar is really the challenge for a tropical punch as tropical fruits tend to be naturally very sweet. In this case, the product ends up with a chalky flavor that's probably best compared to under ripe pineapple and papaya. Hopefully Hint can revise this product and figure out a way to incorporate the natural sweetness of these fruits.

Lime
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
Hint has done a great job tweaking its Lime flavor. Originally, the Lime flavor lacked a natural citrus flavor, but that has been cured in the latest edition. The light, unsweetened flavor of Hint Lime tastes like…well, water and lime, just like it should. There's really nothing else to say about the flavor -- which is a good thing, in our opinion. The small squat bottle is attractive, especially with the change in cap. However, we think some consumers will find it too small as other products in this category are much larger in size. Still, a major improvement over the original.

Pomegranate-Tangerine
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
This is easily our favorite Hint flavor, as the great smell and essence of pomegranate is infused so as to impart just the barest taste of the fruit’s sweetness to the water. The clear, fruity label is also a pleasure to look at, but the tangerine that it promises really isn’t present in the mix. Still, it’s a solid product and we’d drink a lot of it.

Raspberry-Lime
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
This is a well-executed essence water, with a raspberry taste and smell that is thoroughly infused into the liquid, although it tends to wash out the lime a bit. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – many lime-flavored products tend to be overpowering batches of citric acid and nothing else – but we believe in having the flavors match the label. Nevertheless, this is a highly drinkable product with a graphically impressive label and a kid- and parent-friendly bottle.

Pear
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
Hint's Pear flavored water is perhaps the most subtly flavored product of their entire brand. In our opinion, this is a good thing. Given that pear is a naturally sweet flavor and Hint is using it in an unsweetened format, the fact that they have used it very sparingly helps keep this product from having an unnatural taste. That being said, we were quite pleased with this product and found it to be very quenching. Using bright and colorful images of halved pears, the label is attractive and appealing. Overall, a great job from Hint.

Peppermint
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
Hint's entry into the peppermint water category -- if there is such a thing -- is a pretty good one. The peppermint flavor is mellow but cool, and provides just the right amount of flavor to engage the consumer without taking away from the fact that the primary focus of this product is the water itself. The packaging is clean, but the choice of white text and very small black text make this product somewhat difficult to read from a distance. Hint's sport cap will be a plus for some, but this may potentially limit it's up-market potential -- which won't matter if this isn't part of Hint's plan. Overall, this is a very well done flavor from Hint -- it's definitely our favorite flavor so far.

Cucumber
Category: Water: Still; Packaging: 15 fl oz (444 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
This new Hint cucumber is a massive improvement over its original formulation – think sweet Kirby cucumber vs. half-sour pickle, and you get the change in drinkability. This is the kind of thing we’d see at a spa. A great label, and a product that’s good-tasting as well as interesting, cucumber Hint should also have a high badge value for those who like to be asked, “what the heck are you drinking?”
