BevNET Review: This is another strongly flavored, low-calorie, super-sweet offering from Hog Wash that should appeal strongly to children with its pungent grape flavor and to parents with its convenient size and healthy attributes. We’d still like to see the sport cap re-engineered and have them lose the foil freshness cap, but we do think there’s enough genuine fun in the label and product to make it a product with return sales.Reviewed on: 8/13/2005

BevNET Review: This product has a few things going for it and a few things that need to be improved: on the good side, it’s low in calories (37 per bottle) but still sweet – made with real sugar, as well as a subtle ace-k and aspartame blend -- it’s got a convenient, portable 10-oz. size that seems to be a natural for its intended under-12 target consumer, and it’s got a fun, funny label with a silly name. On the downside, the spout is tough to suck on and the extra freshness cap buried underneath the spout means a parent will have to spend extra time yanking it off for no apparent reason. It certainly isn’t something anyone past bar mitzvah age will get caught drinking, ever, but it’s a nicely done version of the high-vitamin-c juice drink.Reviewed on: 8/13/2005

BevNET Review: First of all, we don’t have any idea what a “piggleberry” is. Second, it doesn’t matter. What matters is how something tastes, and this tastes like Hawaiian Punch, which, while not necessarily our favorite, is something that kids have always loved. Parents will probably love this, too, as it is fun to say “piggleberry” to a child, especially when they know they’re only giving that child 37 calories to consume. Hog Wash understands something about sugar/artificial sweetener blends – that if you combine them with enough strong fruit flavors, the sweetener’s artificial characteristics seem to drop in the mix. They do that well here, and throw it all into a kid-friendly package, to boot.Reviewed on: 8/13/2005

BevNET Review: Not our favorite Hog Wash. Too much of the artificial sweetener blend penetrates the flavor, creating what all children dread – a medicine flavor. We’re sure the crazily blue color of this drink will find purchase with some kids, and we still like the baseball-cap wearing pig on the label, but we think this one might need reformulating.Reviewed on: 8/13/2005
