BevNET Review: Great tasting, but it needs some more pizzazz. This is without a doubt one of the best-tasting pure green teas we’ve ever tasted, with zero grassiness, unbelievably character, a tiny bit of spice but mostly a clean green tea flavor. Plus, it's the first organic, fair trade ready to drink unsweetened tea, which will probably mean something to the type of consumers that drink unsweetened green tea. Unfortunately, the label is bland to the point of being generic, and the tea itself is cloudy, which can be a turn-off for some consumers. Still, the flavor would absolutely keep us coming back. Spruce up the label and this product definitely has potential.

Best ready-to-drink tea in the market, not to mention organic

Excellently balanced tea with as it says on the label, just a tad sweet which is the one of the most desired characteristics I look for, i.e., NOT SWEET (what a novel ideal, no?). Seriously, a great product.

Green Tea for White People

Honest Tea's "Just Green Tea" doesn't taste anything like a bottled green tea you'd get in Japan. It doesn't really taste like green tea that you'd be capable of brewing yourself with actual green tea leaves. They indicate that "you'll taste just organic green tea" - but I don't actually believe them. I don't know if that was intentionally done this way, but what I taste is some sort of honey-floral masking flavor ("natural flavor") to "balance acidity". Or maybe the leaves they got aren't anything you'd find grown in Japan as Sencha? It doesn't taste like Chinese green tea either. The liquid doesn't even look particularly green, it's a brownish yellow. It's a start getting White People to drink tea without sugar, but I suspect it will be some time before any company in the U.S. puts out the level of tea closely resembling what Japanese drink.
