This new flavor of the energized spring water brand Hydrive veers a bit too far towards the noncarbonated energy drink side of things, with the pomegranate flavor failing to provide a fruity enough burst to cover up the caffeine flavor needed to give the product its energetic life. That’s not to say Hydrive doesn’t remain a superior product – it’s got fine potential as an alternative to heavily-sugared energy drinks, but this one doesn’t have the mellow flavor of its predecessors. On the label, we wonder if it shouldn’t say “Spring Water Energy Drink” rather than “Energy Drink from Spring Water” – it’s a close call, but we think it would attract more women. Good, but not great....Especially when considered against the other flavors of the brand.
