Impulse Extreme - Triple The Energy

BevNET Review: Impulse is back and their flagship product is now Impulse Extreme. It's a mildly sweetened citrus flavored energy drink that has a light pink color to it. It drinks well, with an almost CSD-like taste that goes down easily. The only exception is a mild bite to the finish, which is really the only note of functionality to the taste. Packaging is colorful but a bit too busy. Also, we feel that they've put too much emphasis on the word "extreme" and not enough on the word "Impulse." Overall, a decent drink whose biggest strength is its flavor. Reviewed on: 5/18/2007

Impulse Extreme-Triple the Energy Sugar-Free

BevNET Review: Rather than just take Impulse and remove the sugar, the folks at Impulse Beverage decided to do something a little different. The result is Impulse "Extreme", a beverage that has no sugar and only 5 calories -- but triple the caffeine. Unlike some of the diet energy drinks out there, this product truly has punch to it. You'll notice it from the second that you take your first sip and experience the slightly bitter yet sweet flavor -- this is not your standard sugar free energy drink. In fact, in our blind taste testing, most of the panel failed to recognize this product as a sugar free. In addition, we really like the design of the packaging. The can's bright red color quickly draws your eye to it. Overall, a job well done by Impulse. The only question we have is whether this product will become more popular than regular Impulse.Reviewed on: 3/31/2005

Impulse Zero--Zero Carbs-Zero Sugar-Zero Calories

BevNET Review: Impulse Zero--Zero Carbs-Zero Sugar-Zero Calories is the third installment to the Impulse brand of energy drinks. Like Impulse Extreme, this flavor features a zero carb, zero calorie formulation but without the extra caffeine featured in Extreme. This makes the body of the product seem a bit sweeter and the finish more clean. It's flavor is enjoyable and refreshing. In addition, Impulse has redesigned all of its cans, and we find the bright blue color of this flavor is very appealing to the eye. Overall, Impulse Zero is a well-done addition to the Impulse family.Reviewed on: 3/31/2005

Impulse Energy Drink

BevNET Review: Impulse Energy Drink is one of the few energy drinks on the market today that actually gets high marks from those people that count -- namely people that already consume energy drinks and most likely still find Red Bull to be the best. This being said, it's no wonder that this award-winning product is one of our panel's top picks in the energy drink category. The flavor is clean and crisp and we love the red, white, & blue design of the package. Definitely give this one a try.Reviewed on: 3/31/2005
