BevNET Review: Rather than just take Impulse and remove the sugar, the folks at Impulse Beverage decided to do something a little different. The result is Impulse "Extreme", a beverage that has no sugar and only 5 calories -- but triple the caffeine. Unlike some of the diet energy drinks out there, this product truly has punch to it. You'll notice it from the second that you take your first sip and experience the slightly bitter yet sweet flavor -- this is not your standard sugar free energy drink. In fact, in our blind taste testing, most of the panel failed to recognize this product as a sugar free. In addition, we really like the design of the packaging. The can's bright red color quickly draws your eye to it. Overall, a job well done by Impulse. The only question we have is whether this product will become more popular than regular Impulse.
