BevNET Review: The formulation of Inko's White Tea Energy is impressive and well executed from start to finish. The non-carbonated base of this product is, as you may have guessed, white tea, that has been flavored with crystalline fructose, lemon, ginger, and ginseng. The delicate flavor is simple yet sophisticated, and, given that it has no added caffeine, the formulation lacks the caffeine burn typically found in energy products. The packaging is a standard fare 16-oz can (labeled 15.5 oz in this case) that has been painted with a sharp cobalt blue color. While it's obvious that it's an energy drink, it's hard to quickly figure out how it's different as our eye is drawn to the orange text, rather than the white, and the fact that they alternate makes it hard to get a grasp of this product. We'd suggest a simple change: use a single color (white or orange) on the center text ("White Tea Energy") and a different color for the text at the bottom. Plus, it might be nice if some tea leaves -- or something else that make it obvious that this is made by a tea company -- were visible on the can. Overall, Inko's White Tea Energy is a welcome entry into the category and, with a few refinements to the packaging, it has a lot of potential.
