Inko's White Iced Tea

Manufacturer's Brand Overview [Edit]

The idea for Inko’s White Iced Tea was born out of three facts: 1. There is no premium, white-tea-focused beverage company dedicated to bringing white tea and white tea only ready-to-drink beverages to people, 2. There is no better tasting tea on the market (in our humble opinion of course) and, 3. There is a lot of early-stage, medical research concerning White Tea.

Poppin Punch

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 12 oz PET
BevNET Review: The second flavor of Inko's White Tea's kids line is "Poppin Punch." Like its berry-flavored counterpart, Poppin Punch is a very lightly flavored and sweetened white tea beverage. In this case, the flavor is, as the name suggests, fruit punch. They've nicely executed the drink's delicately balanced flavor, with the fruit flavor, the white tea, and the touch of sugar all added in just the right amount. And at 25 calories per serving (under 40 per bottle), it is extremely easy to drink without weighing you down. As far as packaging goes, this product line looks very different than the flagship Inko's glass teas. The colorful fully wrapped 12 oz. PET bottle is attractive and whets the appetite. We like the addition of fruit images, although we think it would be more effective if they were closer to the Inko's logo (you have to turn the bottle to see them). Nit picking aside, we think that Inko's has done a great job with this product — it's very enjoyable from both a taste and visual perspective. Reviewed on: 11/22/2010

Bumpin Berry

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 12 oz PET
BevNET Review: Selling white tea to kids might not seem like a lock, but Inko's White Tea has done a great job with their kids' entries including this one, Bumpin Berry. It's lightly sweetened and has just a hint of sweetness from fructose crystals (sugar), while the white tea and berry flavors combine to make something that's extremely easy to drink. They've done a nice job of hitting the sweet spot of flavor, having just enough to please your palate but not too much to the point where it's sickly sweet. And at under 40 calories per 12 oz. bottle (or 25 calories for 8 ounces), it should appeal to kids and adults alike. On the outside, they've done a great job of creating an appealing package, with a fully wrapped bottle that's colorful and eye catching (maybe even more so than their flagship line). The fruit images are a plus, but since they are not on the same side of the bottle as the logo, they might be missed. Getting these elements together with the logo would be an improvement that we'd like to see. Still, even without this change, Inko's Bumpin Berry is a very enjoyable and well executed product.Reviewed on: 11/22/2010
