V8 beverages continues its history of innovation with Invigor8, as it is the only nationally distributed energy drink on the market featuring 100% juice and no added sugar. Invigor8 will debut in two varieties – Energy Boost and Nutrition Boost – each of which will feature the brand’s unique blend of 100% juice, with B3 (niacin), B6, B12 and antioxidant vitamins A & C. Energy Boost is the healthy energy drink that contains caffeine and guarana in a light and fruity strawberry/grapefruit flavor. Nutrition Boost is the healthy nutritional drink that is also an excellent source of vitamin E and a good source of calcium and potassium in a refreshing peach/pineapple flavor. Invigor8 is non-carbonated and will be available in an 8 oz. single-serve can and a multi can 4-pack. Invigor8 is scheduled to debut this January in stores nationwide and it will be supported by a fully integrated marketing campaign Suggested retail price is $1.99 for the single-serve can and $6.99 for the multi can 4-pack.

BevNET Review: Unlike the Nutrition Boost, Invigor8 Energy Boost has caffeine in it (from both the guarana and added caffeine). The flavor of the product also has a more energy drink-like finish to it, so we think that this flavor is the one that will more likely be the main one of the two. Again, Invigor8 is very different than all other drinks that we've tried -- 100% juice, no added sugars, and non carbonated -- plus this is the only line of energy drinks we've seen that actually says that it uses only "GRAS" ingredients. Perhaps this will create some new health focus trends in the cateogry? Regardless, we think it tastes pretty good and provides a nice alternative to some of the stronger medicinal tasting drinks that are on the market.Reviewed on: 10/17/2003

BevNET Review: We're not quite sure how this product will be received, but we can tell you that just about every aspect of this product is unique. First of all, it uses 100% juice and no added sugars which gives it a flavor that is very similar to that of a V8 Splash product. Of course, this puts the product's taste (which is best described as a tropical fruit punch flavor) among the top of the category. This flavor, unlike the Invigor8 Energy Boost has no caffeine -- it relies on carbs, B and other vitamins for the "boost". Overall, it's good but can a product like this go up against the other more edgy (and caffeinated) products on the market today? Regardless, it will be good for the category to have a company like Campbells being involved.Reviewed on: 10/17/2003
