The Tropical Fruit flavor of Invo Coconut Water is a 100 percent juice blend of coconut water, pineapple juice, mango puree and passion fruit juice. It certainly has a “tropical” flavor to it, but the coconut water is a bit lost behind the stronger fruit flavors blended with the beverage. That being said, it still has very pleasant mango, pineapple and passionfruit flavors. The mixture is certainly one that’s enjoyable and tastes better than its shelf-stable counterparts. However, the difference between this product and a shelf-stable one is not nearly as massive as it is for pure coconut water. All in all, it’s a good flavor, but we’d still pick Invo's flagship product over this one. On the outside, the product looks extremely similar to the company's main offering. The only things that can be used to differentiate the flavors are the color of the liquid and the smallish lettering that’s on the front of the bottle. It certainly seems possible that a consumer could confuse the two products if they're not looking too closely. Lastly, we’re not really fond of calling it Tropical. High pressure processed beverages are still a part of the premium set, while “tropical” is a word that feels more appropriate for a fruit punch or something that’s using a very basic juice blend or flavorings. Overall, this is a decent addition to the lineup, but we wish that the fruit flavor didn’t overshadow the coconut water as much as it does.
