Jay Street Coffee is a line of ready-to-drink, aseptically-packaged coffee beverages marketed by Japanese tea maker ITO EN. In terms of flavor, the Latte variety has a pretty bold base of coffee that has been blended with milk and sugar. The resulting product is definitely more on the sweet and milky end of the spectrum (it is a latte, after all), which is only an issue in that the finish of the product tastes slightly burnt. Still, compared with other similar products, the smooth and enjoyable flavor can definitely hold its own. As far as the packaging is concerned, the bottle (including the cap) are exactly the same as what you’ll find on the company’s tea products. The branding, which is named after the street on which the company’s Brooklyn offices are located, has a homespun and unique look to it. It’s definitely ITO EN’s best U.S. effort to date. However, it would be a lot better if it had its own bottle -- the asceptic square bottle just doesn’t feel like the right format. Overall, this is a big step in the right direction for ITO EN's U.S. efforts and a very nice start.
