Jersey Blues' flagship flavor is this variety, a blueberry and iced tea flavored drink. Conceptually, we like what this product is all about, blending New Jersey grown blueberries with tea. As far as the blueberry flavor goes, it’s good, but it could be a lot better. Specifically, the use of tea flavor – and black tea at that – overpower the taste of the blueberry. If this drink is supposed to be about the blueberries, blending it with a more delicate tea flavor (such as green tea) and using real brewed tea (a sign of quality) would be an improvement. Certainly, there’s room for improvement on the outside as well, as the brand uses a pretty basic stick-on label and a stock cap. Plus, we’re not sure how well New Jersey and “Blues” (as in the music motif) will gel with consumers. Overall, good flavor and concept, but this product seems like it needs more to succeed.
