Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
Classic Cocktails Get Energized With Launch of Jetset® Energy Mixers Energy Club Soda, Energy Tonic Water, Energy Ginger Ale and Original Energy Flavor Now Available SAN FRANCISCO (June 28, 2007) – Creating new options for the discerning mixed-drink consumer, Jetset Beverages, Inc. announces the arrival of a new line of energized cocktail mixers. Jetset Club Soda, Jetset Tonic Water, and Jetset Ginger Ale taste identical to their non-energized counterparts yet bring new life to traditional mixed drinks such as Gin & Tonic, Vodka-Soda and Whiskey & Ginger. The Jetset line of mixers, which includes Jetset Energy Original flavor, is now available in select bars and clubs and at Safeway affiliated stores nationwide (Safeway, VONS, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Dominick’s, Carrs, Pavilions and Genuardi’s). “We like to think that Jetset lifts consumers’ spirits by giving them the opportunity to enjoy their favorite cocktail with an energy kick,” said Jeff Silver, president and CEO of Jetset Beverages, Inc. “We offer a premium product designed to mix with your favorite spirit or enjoy on its own as a great tasting and energizing drink.” Jetset Energy Mixers® are enhanced with a carefully formulated blend of guarana, ginseng, taurine and caffeine. A highly regarded beverage industry publication recently reviewed Jetset Original as better tasting than the leading two energy drinks on the market today. Jetset Beverages also plans to introduce a line of diet options for the calorie-conscious consumer in the near future. The multi-billion dollar energy drink market has experienced explosive growth over the last several years, growing in excess of 47% in 2006. In contrast, the mixers market has been characterized by slower growth and relatively little innovation. Jetset Energy Mixers combines the best of both of categories to create an exciting new energy mixer market. About Jetset San Francisco based Jetset Beverages Inc. offers a line of energy cocktail mixers: Jetset Energy Club Soda, Jetset Energy Tonic Water, Jetset Energy Ginger Ale and Jetset Energy Original. All four products are available in select bars and clubs and through Safeway affiliated stores nationwide. Jetset Beverages encourages and supports the responsible consumption of alcohol. Diet Jetset Original
Category: Energy: Diet; Packaging: 12 oz can
BevNET Review:
Jet Set's Diet entry is an entry that seems to be too little for the current state of the market. Specifically, the taste of the product tastes like Red Bull mixed with club soda. It's not an unpleasant flavor, but there are lots of better tasting products on the market today. Furthering that point, the functional ingredients also seem pretty standard, which leaves us feeling like Jet Set could do more with this product. Packaging is the drink's strongest point, with a clean and hip looking front panel. Ultimately, that will probably be the saving grace for this drink, which certainly has a more polished look than some of its better tasting competition. Overall, good execution, but we'd like something a bit more innovative.

Original
Category: Energy: Regular; Packaging: 0.5 fl oz or 16 fl oz can
BevNET Review:
Jetset Original is a straight up energy drink, much in the style of a Red Bull or Monster. It pulls it off fairly well, with a crisp berry flavor that has a moderate dose of energy flavor. Aftertaste is reasonably mild, with a slight tinge of caffeine to the finish. Overall, we found it to be more drinkable than Monster and Red Bull, mainly due to the lighter aftertaste. Packaging and branding are clean and hip, with a nice modern font treatment that works well with the vibrant color scheme. Overall, this product looks and tastes great -- it's really a question of execution on the part of Jetset .

Club Soda
Category: Energy: Regular; Packaging: 10.5 fl oz (310.5 ml) can
BevNET Review:
Using a combination of taurine, caffeine, ginseng and guarana, this product is anything but a standard club soda. The flavor is, however, somewhat bitter tasting, which isn't really the way we expect our club sodas to be. But on the other hand, Jetset does come in a great, albeit lascivious, 10.5 oz. can that gets its purpose across: this is obviously intended as a cocktail mixer with energy attributes. So it might sell well in liquor stores, upscale convenience joints, and on premise. Either way, it's a decent improvement over the original version.

Ginger Ale
Category: Energy: Regular; Packaging: 0.5 fl oz (310.5 ml) can
BevNET Review:
We're all in favor of energy drink flavors that move energy ingredients into more palatable categories, and Jetset has done this with its ginger ale, which, while not a particularly mind-blowing ginger ale per se, is a serviceable version of the classic product that has everything that product misses - namely, caffeine. With ginger's salubrious tummy-related properties and the kick of caffeine and guarana, this product might make a mint as a hangover cure; as for packaging, the can has an enjoyably trashy look to it that seems to make it a pretty good fit for any home bar. Definitely worth a try for many specific reasons, although not necessarily something we'd drink a lot of.

Tonic Water
Category: Energy: Regular; Packaging: 0.5 fl oz (310.5 ml) can
BevNET Review:
Hey, if you're making a gin and tonic, why not give it an extra kick? Well, it all depends on why you're making that gin and tonic, right? Regardless, canned tonic water, energied-up or not, doesn't have a huge following and we don't know that this is the product to create it. Granted, the 10.5 oz. can is a huge improvement over the original 12 oz. format, but it still seems like a niche product at best.
