Lemon Tea

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 20 fl oz glass
BevNET Review: Joe Tea Lemon Tea is a decent tasting lemon-flavored iced tea whose quality is on par with that of Arizona iced tea. Joe Tea offers an almost "no-frills" image that's reminiscent of the early days of Jones Soda. The rugged old-fashioned truck and the graphic design work together to give the product a wholesome, homemade appearance. This product will likely appeal to consumers who want to get away from some of the larger, more corporate feeling competitors. However, the quality of the product is average at best. This being said, we think that Joe Tea should try and improve the formulation. Until then, Joe Tea's main point of differentiation is its label. Unfortunately, we do not think that this will allow Joe Tea to have anything more than niche success. If improvements to the formulation are made, this product definitely has a chance.Reviewed on: 3/15/2005

Peach Tea

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 20 fl oz glass
BevNET Review: Joe Tea Peach is a flavorful, but extremely sweet iced tea which certainly is not tagging along with the new wave of low-carb iced teas. This is more of a classic ready-to-drink tea that follows in the foot steps of Snapple and Arizona in terms of flavor. The peach flavor is literally almost to the point where the tea itself is difficult to discern. We love the no-nonsense packaging, but it runs the risk of appearing as a no-frills beverage brand. This is especially true when considering the mediocre formulation of the tea. Overall, this product offers a unique image on the outside, but the formulation on the inside could definitely be improved.Reviewed on: 3/15/2005
