BevNET Review: This clear soda would be more appropriately titled "Vanilla Soda", but we won't complain. Jones Cream Soda is a sweet, vanilla flavored soda. The consistency is very light (both in terms of carbonation and feel). We recommend this beverage to those of you that want a nice, easy to drink, vanilla flavored beverage.

Why do people think it tastes like cotton candy?

This soda is alright. I like that it doesn't have HFCS. However, I think the other cream sodas from the other brands taste better as a cream soda. Though, I do not see how it tastes like cotton candy. It tastes nothing like cotton candy to me. It tastes more like a cream soda, but not quite.

Drink Sparingly

I loved this drink when I first tasted it, and soon became hooked. It has a good flavor (though it's more akin to a vanilla-flavored soda rather than a cream soda, if you follow), but it can be overwhelmingly sweet. Eventually, it got to be so sweet that I would open a can (the 12-packs they used to sell at Target), and not even be able to drink more than half of it. So now, I drink it sparingly, as a treat, or a dessert. It's much too sweet to drink on a regular basis.

I've been trying to stop drinking caffeinated drinks. Once I discovered Jones Creme Soda, I have not even wanted to look farther. It is fantastic, but I am having trouble finding it in my area.

I love this flavor! They could've named it anything, and it's still great. Its tastes like cream and cotton candy.I am addicted to it. Its the best combination of fizz,cotton candy, and smooth. I love it!!!

I don't think it tastes like cotton candy because i don't like cotton candy.. but this stuff is DELICIOUS. It tastes like Cream soda with vanilla. Amazing stuff.

this is not your traditional cream soda i agree but i think its better and ive tried lots of sodas because here this place called pops were i live and they have over 450 different sodas these are really good with the new cream soda candy by jones that can be added for a flavor boost

my girlfriend brought some of this home, i immediatly renamed it "crack soda" this is the finest carbonated beverage i have ever tasted.

I don't know what they were going for, but cream soda ain't it. Like a previous poster said, it tastes like liquid cotton candy. That vanilla cream soda taste is completely absent. I know the hipsters wet their pants over this stuff because of the unique labels, but this stuff tastes like ass.

I know they've been widely distributed for years now, but this is the first Jones product I've ever tried, in early May 2007. I think I know what the Jones flavor people were aiming for with this stuff -- you know how a good, natural vanilla flavor gives you that unique sensation, almost like it's exploding on your tongue? It's like they tried to duplicate the sensation without using expensive natural flavorings. Unfortunately there's more of a "burn" than vanilla's "pop" and the taste suffers; I don't detect any real vanilla flavor or the wonderful bouquet a cream soda should have... The predominant flavor is something that's almost, but not quite, like burnt sugar. This stuff tastes like chemicals.
