this is not your traditional cream soda i agree but i think its better and ive tried lots of sodas because here this place called pops were i live and they have over 450 different sodas these are really good with the new cream soda candy by jones that can be added for a flavor boost
I don't know what they were going for, but cream soda ain't it. Like a previous poster said, it tastes like liquid cotton candy. That vanilla cream soda taste is completely absent. I know the hipsters wet their pants over this stuff because of the unique labels, but this stuff tastes like ass.
I know they've been widely distributed for years now, but this is the first Jones product I've ever tried, in early May 2007.
I think I know what the Jones flavor people were aiming for with this stuff -- you know how a good, natural vanilla flavor gives you that unique sensation, almost like it's exploding on your tongue? It's like they tried to duplicate the sensation without using expensive natural flavorings. Unfortunately there's more of a "burn" than vanilla's "pop" and the taste suffers; I don't detect any real vanilla flavor or the wonderful bouquet a cream soda should have...
The predominant flavor is something that's almost, but not quite, like burnt sugar. This stuff tastes like chemicals.
I only rated this product 4 out of 5 starts, because its really mislabeled. It should be called Cotton Candy, because that's what it tastes like. I love cream soda, have had all kinds of brands, and this tastes the least like cream soda of any of them to me - even the bad ones.
But its not a bad thing really, because this drink tastes really good. Its truly like bottled cotton candy, only in liquid form with fizz and your tongue won't be bright blue or pink after. Definitely worth a try, just be prepared - it is very sweet.

Nice strong flavor
One of the better ones. Strong flavor thats real good, but then an aftertaste kicks in that ruins it....not that much but it does. Consider it the missing link between Thomas Kemper/Stuarts creams and A&w's cream soda. Has good intial flavor like TK/Stuarts but then hits u with A&w aftertaste.
How the heck can anyone even think of calling this , i dunno "Cream Soad". WOW! absolutly the worst I have ever tried my wife bought me a pack of this and I took one drink, thought it was just me, poured it out and opened another to find it wasn't just me , my brother tried it and we both agreeded, it might make a good dog wash.

The 2nd Best Cream Soda
It is only that Jones is carried in the West and Manhattan Special isn't that Jones is my favorite cream soda -- of the brands that are available to me.
BevNET says this product should rather be called Vanilla Soda, which is on the right track, but I'll take it one further and say it should be called more perhaps like Cotton Candy Soda. It has a very sweet taste and a smoothness. However, it is just a tad TOO sweet and, for that reason, I don't drink it on a regular basis.
My #1 choice in cream soda is Manhattan Special's Vanilla Cream because it has JUST the right amount of ingredients. See BevNET's review and you'll see what I mean. The only drawback is that the brand is not widely distributed, can't get it in the West.
I could sip this stuff all day. The more you sip, the better it gets. They should combine this flavor with a cola to get an unbeatable vanilla cola, maybe they already did. I haven't found their vanilla cola yet. I love Jones cream soda!!!

THE BEST CREAM SODA ON THE PLANET
JONES CREAM SODA IS SO UNIQUE. I HAVE NEVER TASTED SUCH A SWEET AND CREAMY CREAM SODA SUCH AS THIS. IM NOT GONNA LIE ITS THE BEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD I DONT KNOW HOW THEY DID IT
Mr. Jones is a smart guy. The idea that every bottle you get is unique is a cool enough concept for collectors and just plain weirdos like myself to merit buying a bottle. Then you realize that there's some friggin' awesome soda inside! Brilliant! Really good, light, smooth stuff. This one's my fave. Try the bubble-gum one just for fun.
