Judge Wapner Root Beer is actually a very enjoyable root beer that’s made by Real Soda in Real Bottles, Ltd. While this tastes very much like some of the other root beers that we’ve sampled from Real Soda, it’s a good one, with a sugar sweetened formula that has notes of licorice and wintergreen. Its lightly fizzy and slightly creamy body, making this a worthy choice if you’re in the mood for a high quality root beer. On the outside, this product is your typical Real Soda product, (that’s a compliment, not a criticism), complete with a longneck bottle, crown cap, and paper label. The use of Judge Wapner is an intriguing one, especially since the demographic that is most likely to drink a sugary root beer was in diapers (or not even born) at the time when he was on the People’s Court. Even more intriguing is the tagline, “I sentence you to drink my root beer”, which implies that what’s inside the bottle is a liquid form of punishment. Fortunately, that’s far from the truth. Overall, there’s a definite dose of novelty to this product, but what’s inside the bottle is quite enjoyable, even if you can get the same thing under a variety of different name brands.
