BevNET Review: We weren't big fans of this drink the first go around, but after being reformulated, Kaboom's Pomegranate Berry is a very enjoyable energy drink. The flavor delivers a moderately sweet dose of fruit flavor, followed by notes of energy and sweetener finish. Using organic erythritol, a zero calorie sugar alternative, the product maintains a relatively natural flavor and has minimal aftertaste. Packaging is reasonably attractive, with our main concern being that your eye has to search to find the small vertically oriented flavor name. Plus, we think that they should toot their own horn a bit more and call out the fact that this is a low calorie USDA organic energy drink -- it's certainly not super obvious at first pass.Reviewed on: 4/17/2008

BevNET Review: Kaboom has done a great job with its revised Orange Buzz flavor. The flavor, which is flavored with real fruit juice and powered by Guarana, green tea extract, and B vitamins, is quite well done. The sweet fruit flavor hits your tongue first, followed by a mild bite of "energy flavor.” It might be too mild for the hardcore energy drinker, but for people who don't like the medicinal flavor that is so common, this has a good balance. BevNET Review: We've always liked Kaboom and in its third rendition, the product finally feels complete. In past reviews we've raved about the flavor and the buzz that we received from this product. While this version has a slightly tweaked formulation, we didn't notice a difference. It's still fruity and sweet, but mellow and smooth at the same time, with a slight caffeine tinge in its finish. Using real fruit juice for flavoring and evaporated cane juice as the sweetener means that they didn't skimp on quality, either. Tropicool is an extremely drinkable product that is, in our opinion, the best tasting juice-energy hybrid on the market today. The biggest improvement is the packaging, which we've always felt was the most limiting part of this product. The new, beautifully designed 8 oz. can will finally alleviate this. The product is extremely appetizing and classy looking and, as a result, we have very high hopes for this technically sound product.Reviewed on: 5/23/2006
