Ruby Pomegranate Harmony

BevNET Review:
Kagome's Ruby Pomegranate Harmony isn't nearly as good its counterpart, Yellow Mango Orchard. The berry flavor leaves something to be desired as it doesn't have enough pomegranate flavor. Plus, there's a noticeable taste of veggie juice to the finish, which makes the product taste exactly like V8 Splash. And, of course, there's the look of the product, which seems generic. In our opinion, this product definitely needs some work.

Yellow Mango Orchard

BevNET Review:
Kagome's Yellow Mango Orchard is a 100 percent juice product made with half fruit and half veggie ingredients. As far as bottled smoothies go, this product is one of the best we've ever sampled. The flavor, which is derived from a blend of 4 fruits and 8 vegetables, is exceptional, with a fresh blended flavor tropical fruit flavor that will quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite. It's close to perfection. The packaging, on the other hand, is a busy mess of images, resulting in something that looks like a poorly executed attempt at being a V8 copycat. If they can make it more hip -- which is what we think "Kagome" is -- then this product has a shot. Otherwise, it will be relegated to health food stores and the grocery juice aisle.

Autumn Reds

BevNET Review:
Autumn Reds takes advantage of Kagome's staple vegetable, the tomato. In addition, Autumn Reds contains a mix of 8 vegetables and 4 fruits with the resulting mix having a deep red hue. Frankly, we found the product to look much better than it tasted. The formulation tastes like a mix of apple and tomato juices and suffice it to say, we found the flavor very unfamiliar. The quality of the product tastes good, but we do not think that the name "Autumn Reds" or the flavor found inside will inspire consumers to consume this product. Instead, it will require an acquired taste for most American palates. Overall, a decent product but we question the market appeal.

Orange Carrot Blossom

BevNET Review:
Orange Carrot Blossom is a brightly orange colored 100% juice beverage that uses orange and carrot juices as it base. But that is not all that's in it. The product contains 8 vegetable and 3 fruit juices in all. This is the best flavor of the brand as it really brings across an identifiable mix of carrot and orange flavors. The splash of lemon in the drink gives it a nice clean finish. As with all the drinks in the line, the packaging and label are top notch. We highly recommend this drink and think that it has the broadest appeal of any of the Kagome flavors.

Purple Roots & Fruits

BevNET Review:
Purple Roots & Fruits has flavors that are remniscent of many different juices. The product is a mixture of juices from many different fruits and vegetables, so the resulting taste has a very complex taste. The product has extracts from roots (purple carrot, beet, lettuce, spinach, watercress, parsley, and cabbage juices from concentrates) and fruit juices (Apple, Grape, Lemon, and Blueberry juices from concentrates) which gives the product its deep purple color and flavor. The juice is not nearly as sweet as a typical fruit juice but it is still more closely aligned a to a fruit juice profile than to a vegetable profile. It most resembles a grape juice flavor that has been combined with vegetable flavors. Overall, this is a good flavor that we think will find its niche among non-dieting health-conscious consumers.
