I held a root beer tasting where a panel tasted this along side 18 others, and this is the one everyone hated on. One reviewer stated that it was like "fresh mowed grass". I can taste the honey in this, but something about the sweeteners makes this almost taste diet. Later I was drinking this and found it a bit more refreshing, so it got some bonus points.
This root beer is some of the best I've ever tasted, second only to a man I know who makes his own root beer in his basement. All in all, Kemper's root beer is the best bottled root beer I've consumed, and it doesn't leave a strange aftertaste.
