BevNET Review: Named after a sun god for an Amazon Indian tribe in Brazil, Kuat (pronounced "Kwatch") is a lightly carbonated guarana flavored soda from Coke. This product has been very popular in Brazil and now Coke things they can bring it to the states and capitalize on the fact that guarana has become more popular since the energy drink craze. As for the taste, it's interesting and as far as Coke products go, it's not bad. It has a light flavor that tastes like your basic bubble gum soda flavor, but with a mild berry like finish. Overall, it's mildly palatable, but needs some serious work to be a true quality beverage.

Good, but inferior to Guarana Antarctica

Guarana Antarctica is far more crisp and refreshing, while Kuat is more syrupy. I'd walk an extra block or two in the cities of Brasil just to find Guarana Antarctica rather than Kuat. But it's certainly not bad, and since it's a Coke product, maybe it'll be easier to find in the US?

I just drank a ton of Kuat on the Amazon River near Manaus, Brazil. Late May, early June, 2008. This is great stuff! It was sold in 1 liter bottles. We also had Antarctica guarana drink, but it was not as good as Kuat. And from Coca-Cola, too! Have not been able to find it back here in the U.S. yet. Seriously, how old is your review, Bevnet? Maybe they've changed the formulation since you tried it. It deserves far better than two stars. If I could buy it here in the States, I would probably drink it exclusively over any other type of soft drink.

I was in Mexico this Spring (mission trip) and down there they have a Coca Cola drink called Senzao. I tried it and loved it. When I got back, I did some research and discovered that it's the same thing as Kuat which is sold in Brazil and at least at one time was available in the US. Unfortunately, I can't find it. I've tried Bawls (another guarana drink) but it's much different. Kuat has a bitey, almost wine-like first taste. Afterwards, it has a smooth, sweet berry flavor. Very unique and addictive! I wish I knew where to find more! I guess I'll have to bring a bunch of Senzao over from Mexico next time I visit. If you ever see Kuat or Senzao, try it!

I have been to Brazil many times. This is my favorite soft drink in the entire world. I wish I could buy this in the United States, but I can never find it. I hope one day it will be available here.

The BEST Coke product that you cant get in PA or most of USA

After visiting Brazil with a group of 14. We have been looking for Kuat in Pennsylvania or anywhere else. It became our favorite drink while there, we would actually hide bottles from each other. PLEASE have coke send it to PA. It is the best Coke product! Once you get use to the new taste your hooked! WE NEED KUAT IN THE USA! We are craving it!

I went to Brasil last spring and have come to enjoy guarana. But not just any guarana will do. Kuat is the best, the greatest. It has a sweet fruity taste. It is hard to describe but is definitely top in my book. There is nothing like kuat. Kuat is above and beyond every other soft drink known to man. First time I tried it I loved it. But it grows on you more each time you drink it. It becomes more of an addiction. If you taste it you will understand what I mean when I say that whoever rated this must have been temporarily insane to give it less than a five star rating. Kuat deserves in my opinion a rating of six. If you an get your hands on some go for it. It will be the best thing you've ever tasted.

I was in Brazil last year and fell in love with KUAT. I have been searching the internet for it and have not found it! Where are you finding your KUAT and how can I get my hands on it?! No other soft drink can compare...I am addicted and am having withdrawls. Kuat lover...signing off.

WOW, this is just a great soda. I LOVE the taste, Strong bite, but such a smooth and tasty finish, I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for more of Coke's Kuat.

I tried a 20oz. Kuat at a 7-Eleven store on a whim, mainly because its cool and exotic packaging appealed to my curiosity. The beverage is like nothing I have ever tasted before. It does have a hint of "bubble gum" flavor (for lack of a better description) at first, and has a very refreshing, slightly crisp finish. The carbonation was just right, and I found myself liking the product more with each sip. A few hours after trying my first Kuat, I was back at 7-Eleven to buy more. This stuff is wonderful - its deep, golden color is reminiscent of a ginger ale, but it is far smoother - with a slightly sweeter, more complex taste that won me over. Kuat has earned a permanent place in my refrigerator door.
