BevNET Review: Marketed as a “hangover protection” product, Last Shot takes a different approach to this category than its competition. Of course, most people – at least in the industry – will likely be curious about Last Shot’s cap dispensing technology. Unlike some of the other product’s that we’ve seen use similar caps, Last Shot’s is very easy and intuitive, requiring only a rather firm push of the finger to dispense and then some moderate shaking of the bottle to mix it. Once mixed, you’ve got a fairly pleasant tasting product that’s loaded with B vitamins, electrolytes, caffeine, and glucaronolactone. It’s sweetened with sucralose and ace-K, which keeps the calories and sugar content at 0. Perhaps our only concern for this product, which states that it should be consumed as the first and last drink of the night, is the caffeine content – drinking 100mg of caffeine right before bed might not be a good thing. On the branding front, this product’s 10.9 ounce bottle is definitely unique looking. It uses a single color format that’s reminiscent of Dr. Bronner’s soap bottles, with equally verbose rants located in different areas of the bottle. With the competition often selling image over functionality, we think that this approach might help create increased credibility for this product’s function. Plus, it’s visually memorable thanks to its very different look. Overall, a very good product.Reviewed on: 6/29/2010
