If you’re not ready to go all in on with a straight beet juice product, Love Beets has created this option, which is cut with apple juice, cherry puree, blackcurrant juice and lemon juice. However, the flavor product is still very beet heavy to the point where the other flavors become pretty muted as you make your way through the bottle. If anything, they seem to slightly cut the earthy flavor of the beets while also accentuating the lemony finish of the product. That said, we like the idea of Love Beets having more than one flavor variety, but the variation between the two is ultimately pretty subtle. It’s the same challenge that has existed in other strongly flavored fruits and vegetables, such as acai and pomegranate. On the outside, the beverage comes in a 20 oz. PET bottle that is fully wrapped. It seems a bit too large in size for what a consumer is likely to want from a beet juice product. But we do appreciate the clean and straightforward approach to what the company placed on the label. Love Beets has managed to make the brand seem playful and fun, which, given that beets aren’t the most sexy thing out there, seems like a sound approach. Overall, the product does seem like it could be sold in a smaller package, but what’s inside the bottle was definitely enjoyable.
