Despite the dark purplish color and having blueberries as one of its ingredients, LuliTonix “Glow!” really doesn’t have much in the way of berry flavor. Instead, the primary flavors are basil, lemon, spinach and kale. Even the added banana, figs, and avocado add little more than a hint of flavor. They do, however, make the product thick like a smoothie. Ultimately, we’d describe this product as having a refreshing, but filling, flavor profile that’s very restrained in nature. Given that there are already a ton of super sweet berry and banana smoothies on the market, this seems like a nice point of differentiation. Plus, the product has 191 calories and 17g of sugar per 16 oz. bottle -- and it’s loaded with Vitamin A, Iron, Vitamin C, calcium, fiber, and protein. The packaging for the product follows the same format as the other LuliTonix flavors, starting with its square 16 oz. plastic bottle. The yellow lettering pops nicely against the purplish backdrop, which certainly gives the logo some nice presentation. However, we -- again -- come back to their naming convention, which is too conceptual to be practical. Also, it’s not really clear as to what this product is. Is it a juice? A smoothie? Is it sweet? Some additional callouts would be helpful. Overall, what the company has created is definitely unique and enjoyable, but some minor visual improvements are needed.
