BevNET Review: The Original Mabi Drink is unique soft drink that gets its name and flavor from the use of mabi bark an "authentic Caribbean flavor" that's used in both food and beverage in the Caribbean. In terms of the American palate, it's best compared to a sweet nutmeg like flavor. There's a slightly fermented taste to the finish, which is the result of the fermentation process used for the mabi extract (the product has less than 0.5% ABV). All the flavors work together nicely in this carbonated drink to create an enjoyable flavor that's got a nice dose of Caribbean flare. The label delivers a premium ethnic style brand which will certainly appeal to people familiar with other mabi drinks, such as Mauby Fizz. In terms of the mainstream, it's relying on intrigue more than anything as "The Original Mabi Drink" doesn't exactly tell you what sort of flavor is inside the bottle. However, if consumers do give this a try we're sure they'll come back for more of this excellent drink.
